happy {and grateful} catch up

 

i am grateful that each morning,
i wake up to a new day & a fresh start.

i am grateful for morning cartoons, cereal, family prayer,
and a bus stop right across the street.

i am grateful for a mom who walks with me for fun & for exercise.
she's my best friend, my therapist, my trusted confidant. 

i am grateful for my physical body.
i curse my body and all it's flaws on a daily basis,
but really {deep down} i'm just grateful that my lungs breath in & out,
my muscles move, my brain thinks, and my heart beats.
what a blessing.

i'm grateful for daily repentance.
i know that through the savior's atonement,
behaviors, attitudes, bad feelings, sins & shortcomings
can be healed and made right.
because of jesus christ, i can wake up with a clean slate.
i am so grateful. ♥

happy {and grateful} day 9

 














i am grateful for my happy, simple home life.
i spend most of my time at home. 
i am a through & through, homebody deluxe. 
i love being cozy. 

today i tried my hand at homemade chicken noodle soup.
i had to wing it because i was just using stuff i had in the fridge/pantry...
and it actually tastes, like, edible AND delicious.
you have to understand that
kitchen successes are [few and far] between around here.
i am grateful for an encouraging, yummy lunch.

we built livy a small fort to hang out in all day.
i've been babysitting a friend's [ridiculously darling] baby today.
myron and chloe arrive home around 2:30.
i love days like today.

i'm so grateful for my non-eventful, simple, boring-yet-beautiful wonderful life.
i try not to take it for granted. ♥ 

happy {and grateful} day 8

grateful for all my mom/wife-jobs.
house cleaner, dish washer, laundry doer, bill payer....etc.
heaven knows i'm not the best at balancing my responsiblities,

but i think it's important that i remember that i'm grateful for them....
all my chores mean that i have a home, a warm bed, utilities, a sweet little family to take care of,
and a life full of purpose.

i am grateful for my faith. 
i am grateful for the restored gospel of jesus christ. 
i am grateful for god's great plan of happiness. 
i am grateful for the scriptures. 
i am grateful for the blessings of the temple. 
i am grateful for modern day prophets.
all those things i believe with my whole heart to be real & true.
they bring me such joy & such peace on a daily basis.

i am feeling especially grateful tonight...
that i have the opportunity to work with such
awesome young women within my church community.
the experience has taught me & continues to teach me so much.
i love and pray for each girl in my group. 
my heart is so full tonight.

today i'm oh-so grateful that within a matter of 36 hours...
the election will be over. [can i get an amen?]

i'm so deeply grateful for my country.
i'm grateful for my freedom to vote for the man
that i deem best to lead this great nation.

whatever the outcome, 
i [know] that god is still king over all
and
as we exercise faith in him-
he will watch over us, his children,
as we face whatever lies ahead.

i am grateful for my babies...

and the continued miracle they are every day of my life. 

even on super tough-mommy-days,

 there is no denying they are

 priceless, treasured, rubies sent from god.

i'd love to have more, 

but i know that if that isn't in the plan...

i have been {beyond} abundantly blessed, 

just to have these 2 wonderful daughters to call mine.

i am the luckiest to have them

 and humbled & honored to be their mom.

today i am grateful for my man, myron.
i'm grateful for that sweet, blonde raggamuffin, too...but we'll talk about her tomorrow. :)

these pictures capture what i love most about myron dunn.
his silliness, his heart, and his love & loyalty to our family.

i'm grateful i have someone so hilarious, and strong, and bold
to share the ups and downs of life with.

i'm grateful for his work ethic, his steadfastness, and his ray romano impression.
i'm grateful that he loves me for who i am inside, in sickness and in health. 
his quiet support, when it matters most, is perhaps my very greatest blessing.
