pick-me-ups
it's nice for me to have a list of things that are quick pick-me-ups
when i'm feeling off.
simple things i can do to distract negative thinking & create good vibes.
here's my list of my "happy tools"/natural antidepressants!
-yard work for ten minutes//leave a spot looking better than i found it
-blast a favorite tune//loving blake shelton station on pandora right now
-go on a walk outside//been walking with friends & my mom a lot lately
-work on my current creative project i have going//i usually have a few
-make my bed//i should try this one more often
-text a friend//i have good and very funny friends
-play with my babies//makes them happy too!
-serve someone//reminds me of my blessings
-journal//get my feelings out on paper
-watch this video of my sister after getting her wisdom teeth pulled//my favorite

Jars full of money & cuddling with dogs, children, or husband. In that order.
I read your blog.....it always makes me feel happy!!
That video. TOO. FUNNY. I was dying. Holly rocks!
I'm pretty much really happy that you made this list, there's a few I need to try out. :) I love how "real-life" your blog is! Thank you for not making your life seem absolutely perfect. There are some blogs I come across and they make me feel like I'm failing at life because my life isn't perfect like they're making theirs appear. I am so grateful that you are realistic and have such an uplifting, cheerful attitude!
p.s. I swear I'm not a creeper-bloggy-stalking-teacher! I read your blog before I became a teacher and remember seeing your little one last year and I thought, "man, she looks familiar!" It took me forever to realize! haha
I'm totally making myself a "happy tools" list and printing it out for my fridge. A go-to for tough days (or moments, since I believe almost every day has tough times when you have a toddler)! Thanks for the idea! I'm totally stealing a few of yours :)
